This is a reminder that the certification Test A will open on Wednesday morning at 12:01 a.m. Here’s the complete testing schedule:

Certification Test A

• Certification test A will be open from 3/04/21 – 3/08/21.
  • There will be 100 questions, a combination of true/false and multiple choice (one correct answer).
  • Passing for this test is 80% as set by CSOA-Southern Section.
  • They will have a 150 minute time limit.
  • The questions will be randomized for each test taker.
• You will be allowed one attempt for this test.
• You will NOT be able to stop and start.

Review

• 3/09/21 & 3/10/21 are set for you to do any review/retraining for those that failed test A.

Certification Test B

• Certification test B will be open from 3/11/21 -3/15/21.
  • There will be 100 questions like test A.
  • Test A will be used as the template with 20-25 questions being changed for test B.
  • Passing is 80%
  • They will have a 150 minute time limit.
• The questions will be randomized for each test taker.
• You will NOT be able to stop and start.

Failing Test A and Test B

• Per Southern Section, those who failed both tests can still certify by taking the test that they had the lowest score and correcting it to 100% with rules references.
  • It will be your responsibility to turn in the corrected test to you as the IC.

Failure of a member to pass the test and NOT correct the test to 100% would NOT allow them to certify and work any level high school softball.

The email with the link for the certification test (same link we used for the study guide) will be sent to the membership Tuesday evening. The test will open Wednesday morning at 12:01 a.m.

The title of the email is 20201 Softball Certification Test A and it will show your email as the sender.

The following information is included in the email.

• Open dates are Midnight January 29 – Midnight February 3, 2020
• 100 questions
• 120 minutes (2 hours) to complete.
• Must be completed in one sitting.
• Passing is 80%.
• If you don’t get the 80%, you will need to take Certification Test B
• If you have any questions, you need to contact your Instructional Chair.
